Five medals won by the Ukrainian racers with Drag bicycles made in Bulgaria.

Five medals were won by Ukrainian runners with Bulgarian bicycles DRAG in the Youth European road cycling cup, category U23 in Ankara, Turkey 15 to July 18.
Anna Solovey became an European champion for Junior in the individual per suit of 13.5 kilometers with an achievement of 17:42 minutes.
She finished with a lead of more than half a minute.
Another two Ukrainians – Kateryna Zavala and Mariana Russu finished 6 th and 22 nd respectively in this discipline.
Ukraine ranked in the second place in the team standings.
Lesia Kalitovska won the silver in the womens’ 121.5 kilometers equaling the winner’s time of 3:08:21. Elizaveta Oshurkova came in 6th, 6 seconds behind the winner, Valeriya Kononenko finished 26 th, Anna Nahirna-35th and Tetiana Ryabchenko-38th.
Ukraine became the Team Champion.
Lesia Kalitovska took the sixth place in the individual run per suit for women.
Tetiana Ryabchenko and Valeriya Kononenko were 15th and 17th respectively.
Ukraine ranked 3rd in the team standings.
The Ukrainian Women and Junior National team won 6th and 7th place and a total of 5 medals: 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze with DRAG bicycles.

Another victory of Drag Bluebird for the Ukraine women’s national team

The Ukraine women’s national team won another victory with our Drag Bluebird bicycles on the European Road Bike Championship 2010 in Ankara. In Time Trial - Junior Women category Anna Solovey took first place and become a European champion with an achievement of 00:17:42h, more than half a minute better than the second time in the race.
In the Under 23 Women’s Road Race Lesia Kalitovska finished in a 10sm distance from the first Noortje Tabak and took the silver medal with the same achievement of 03:08:21.

Bulgarian Drag bicycles achieve an unique success on world and european scene

Bulgarian Drag bicycles score a legendary success through the past year, winning 16 medals for Ukraine women’s national team on world and european competitions.

Lyubov Shulika is the winner in Sprint for 2008-2009, with 1 gold and 1 silver medal in Melbourne and Beijing Track World Cup cycling.

In 2009 UCI Track World Cup Ukraine Women Team with their Drag Bluebird took also 2 bronze medals in Team pursuit, 2 bronze medals in Individual pursuit and 4-th place in Team pursuit in Melbourne and Junior World Championships in Moscow.

On Minsk 2009 European Cycling Track Championship Ukraine Team and Drag bicycles took 8 medals, 5 of which are gold.
Lyubov Shulika won 2 gold medals – in Sprint and Keirin. Anna Solovei took also 2 gold medals – in Individual pursuit and in Points race. 1 gold medal took Ukraine team in Team pursuit, Lasya Kalitovska took 1 silver medal in Individual pursuit and 1 bronze in Points race.

On Juniors World Cycling Road Championship in Belgium Hanna Solovey took gold medal and became a world champion.

Our Drag racers at the head of two categories for best bulgarian racer of 2009

Our racers Rosen Kovachev and Todor Angelov took the prize for best Bulgarian bicyclist in categories Cross Country and DH. The winners was named with an inquiry in the specialized Bulgarian site for cycling - Probike. The ceremony was on 14 01 2010, in the presence of bicyclists, trainers, journalists.
In the Road category for the Best Bulgarian bicyclist was pointed Ivaylo Gabrovski, who won the annual Bulgaria Tour for the record-breaking 4-th time this year, with two stage victories. He also is on 85-th place (first from Bulgarian bicyclist) in UCI rank with 141 points and six victories for the season. Next on the list are Vladimir Koev, Danail Petrov, Pavel Shumanov, Krasimir Koev.
Rosen Kovachev, who was chosen for the best DH rider, won 4 first places for the season in international competitions - Down Hill Skopie /Macedonia/, Drop and Roll /Romania/, Shambhala Open Cup /Sopot, Bulgaria/, Extreme Bike /Bitola, Macedonia/. Next on the list is Dimitar Gaydov, 3-rd in the Shambhala Open Cup, Nikolay Stoyanov (Drag Racing) – first in the youth category in Drop and Roll /Romania/, Aleksandar Iliev, Dimitar Bakalov (Drag Racing) – second in Down Hill Skopie /Macedonia/.
In the Cross Country category Todor Angelov took first place with 4 first, 4 second places , one 4-th and one 6-th place from 10 competitions this season.

Ukrainian team, with our Drag Bluebird, placed fourth in Women’s Team Pursuit in UCI Track World Cup in Melbourne

Team Ukraine competed with the Australian trio in the bronze medal ride-off in the Women’s Team Pursuit during day three of 2009 UCI Track World Cup in Melbourne, Australia. Svetlana Galyuk, Lesya Kalitovska and Irina Shpilova finished in 3:30.156 min, a little less for bronze, and placed fourth.

Lesya Kalitovska of the Ukrainian Cycling Team, who rides with bulgarian Drag Bluebird bicycle, finished with third time in women’s 3000m individual pursuit at the Melbourne World Cup round. Britain’s Wendy Houvenaghel took the gold, and New Zealand’s world champion Alison Shanks is silver medalist.

Wouter Cleppe won “Drag - Cherni vrah 2009″

For the first time in our annual “DRAG - Cherni vrah” race (climbing up and down the highest point of Vitosha mountain) the winner this year is a foreign racer – this is Wouter Cleppe from Belgium, who lives in Bulgaria now for a few years with his wife and daughter. His score – 2:51:52h. for the 42 km to the top and back – is a record for all the six issues of the competition. He was first on the top (2290 м AMSL) for a 1:59:26h, and was fastest in getting down for a 52:26 min.

Our two Drag racers Todor Angelov and Feodor Dragolov are right behind him from the beginning to the end. Todor Angelov had an interesting experience on his way to the top, when he lost his right shoe and had to press the pedals without it. In spite of this he finished with a second time - 3:28:26h. Third in that category finished Rajko Stefanov. Feodor Dragolov, with his third time (3:35:47h) in general classifying, won the first place in veterans group.

Drag team had its representative in other two categories too. In a competition for couples took place the team of general manager of Drag - Dragomir Kouzov, and his 13-years old son Viktor. They finished third in that category. Viktor Kouzov won the bronze medal in the youth category too.

Todor Angelov (Drag Racing team) is first in the 39-th Vitosha tour

Todor Angelov from the Drag Team won the last issue of 100km tour around the Vitosha mountain. In a cold and rainy conditions he finished first after 5:03h. Second, 27min. after Angelov finished Stanimir Statev, and the third place took other Drag racer - Feodor Dragolov, with 5:47h.
