Our Drag racers at the head of two categories for best bulgarian racer of 2009

img_1-8758-5Our racers Rosen Kovachev and Todor Angelov took the prize for best Bulgarian bicyclist in categories Cross Country and DH. The winners was named with an inquiry in the specialized Bulgarian site for cycling - Probike. The ceremony was on 14 01 2010, in the presence of bicyclists, trainers, journalists. Read more »

Ukrainian team, with our Drag Bluebird, placed fourth in Women’s Team Pursuit in UCI Track World Cup in Melbourne

ukraina-jeni-pistaTeam Ukraine competed with the Australian trio in the bronze medal ride-off in the Women’s Team Pursuit during day three of 2009 UCI Track World Cup in Melbourne, Australia. Svetlana Galyuk, Lesya Kalitovska and Irina Shpilova finished in 3:30.156 min, a little less for bronze, and placed fourth.

kalitovska-lesyaLesya Kalitovska of the Ukrainian Cycling Team, who rides with bulgarian Drag Bluebird bicycle, finished with third time in women’s 3000m individual pursuit at the Melbourne World Cup round. Britain’s Wendy Houvenaghel took the gold, and New Zealand’s world champion Alison Shanks is silver medalist.

Wouter Cleppe won “Drag - Cherni vrah 2009″

wouter-cleppe1 For the first time in our annual “DRAG - Cherni vrah” race (climbing up and down the highest point of Vitosha mountain) the winner this year is a foreign racer – this is Wouter Cleppe from Belgium, who lives in Bulgaria now for a few years with his wife and daughter. His score – 2:51:52h. for the 42 km to the top and back – is a record for all the six issues of the competition. He was first on the top (2290 м AMSL) for a 1:59:26h, and was fastest in getting down for a 52:26 min. Read more »

Todor Angelov (Drag Racing team) is first in the 39-th Vitosha tour

todor-angelov-7555-1 Todor Angelov from the Drag Team won the last issue of  100km tour around the Vitosha mountain. In a cold and rainy conditions he finished first after 5:03h. Second, 27min. after Angelov finished Stanimir Statev, and the third place took other Drag racer - Feodor Dragolov, with 5:47h.

Reinhard Zach from Austria travels through Europe with Drag Grand Canyon

zach2 The young Austrian Reinhard Zach realize over 2500km trip through Europe, after he got his Drag Grand Canyon this summer. The tour begins in Sofia, from where he goes first to Istanbul, then took the ferry to Odessa. From Odessa through Ukraine with his bike he goes to Budapest. Then to Austria, through Vienna, he reaches Linz. And than he wrote a letter and send us pictures from this trip with his Drag bicycle.

Rosen Kovachev from Drag Racing Team, with his Dragomir Black Hawk, won the 1-st place in the 3-rd edition of the biggest DH competition in Romania - Drop ‘n’ Roll 2009. His team-mate Nikolay Stoyanov is first in the youth category.

New e-bike DRAG was represented in Bankia

New electrical Drag bicycle was first shown today in Bankia. This new bike is equipped with Li-Ion battery, which can supply energy for 60 km riding. It was presented from Dragomir Kuzov, general manager of Velomania, who showed his conviction that this will become a very popular bike in the larger cities soon.
